How do I install Alkane?

1. Close all open instances of your DAW or music creation applications.

2. Open the downloaded macOS disk image and double-click on the Alkane Installer package to begin the installation process. Follow the on-screen prompts.

3. After installation, open your chosen DAW application. Note that there may be a delay while your system detects and verifies Alkane for the first time.

4. In most cases, an iLok activation prompt will automatically be displayed on your screen*. Follow the prompts to activate your trial or full license using the code sent to your email.

*Some DAW applications may not show an iLok activation prompt until the first time the plugin is manually selected for use in your project. If you do not see an automatic prompt in Step 4, simply add your new plugin into your DAW’s workspace and open its interface to trigger the activation prompts.

If you have purchased an activation code while a trial is still active, open the iLok License Manager application installed on your system and click on Licenses from the top toolbar, followed by Redeem Activation Code. Follow the on-screen prompts to activate a full Alkane license.
